Gold PS4 Slim Leaks Ahead of June 9 Launch

When the original PS4 launched it had a two-tone finish to the casing and we have since had several color/special edition design variants released. And so the PS4 Slim arrived on the scene. Equally well as existence 40 percent smaller than the PS4, it replaced the two-tone casing with a matte black terminate. And since information technology became available on September 15 last year with a 500GB hard bulldoze that's the only color option available.

On June ix, however, that's gear up to alter according to an employee of Target. Posting on Reddit, user Sliye managed to take hold of a photograph of a new golden PS4 Slim complete with a 1TB hard bulldoze, which you can see above.

A second image included below and obtained by AllGamesDelta, shows the aforementioned gold PS4 Slim on a shelf with a $249 price tag, suggesting there'due south no price premium attached to the new color model.

Sony introduced a very welcome upgrade for the PS4 Slim back in April. The 500GB hard drive was replaced with a 1TB drive while the cost remained the same. With more than of u.s.a. choosing to download our games rather than purchase physical copies, and even physical discs requiring gigabytes of data installed, the larger the hard drive the improve.

Gold is not a color that's going to appeal to anybody, only hopefully this is only the beginning of Sony deciding to offer more than choice. Nosotros could see a whole spectrum of colors appearing, especially as we get closer to the holiday season, as a way of trying to keep sales of the console loftier.
